Introducing Riverside Care Advisors Monthly Caregiver Support Group

Taking care of a loved one can be both deeply meaningful and incredibly draining. Whether you’re caring for a spouse, parent, sibling, or close friend, it’s a heavy responsibility that   you shouldn't have to navigate alone. That’s why Riverside Care Advisors is launching a monthly Caregiver Support Group: a welcoming, judgement-free space where you can connect with people who know what you’re going through.

Why a Support Group Can Help

Caregivers spend much of their energy focused outward–on appointments, safety, logistics, and decision-making–while their own needs fall to the bottom of the list. Stress, and the pressure to “hold it all together,” can leave you exhausted, worried, and stretched thin. Friends may be kind but not really understand, and it’s often hard to be completely honest with the person you’re caring for.

Our support group offers:

  • A place to talk openly with people who understand caregiving firsthand

  • Reassurance that your worries, frustrations, guilt, and fatigue are normal

  • Perspective from others navigating similar challenges

  • Practical insights that come from shared experience

The group is about connection, reflection, meeting caregivers where they are, and giving them space to be heard.

What to Expect from the Group

This isn’t a lecture or a class. It’s a guided conversation with structure and support.

Each session will be:

  • Facilitated by an experienced Riverside Care Advisors team member who will gently guide the conversation based on what participants want to discuss and offer practical insights.

  • Confidential and respectful: What’s shared in the group stays in the group. We’ll set clear expectations at the start so everyone feels safe to speak openly.

  • Grounded in real-world caregiving concerns: Peer connection and shared experience will be at the center of every meeting.

Who the Group Is For

Our group is open to caregivers of all kinds, including:

  • Spouses and partners

  • Adult children

  • Siblings

  • Friends and other family members in a caregiving role

Whether you’re new to caregiving or have been doing it for years, you’re welcome here. There’s no expectation for you to share–listening is just as welcome as talking.
